The First Purple Gorilla T-Shirt, Commercial & Website Update
I am also planning to shoot the first Purple Gorilla commercial next month that will feature the new t-shirt design. Together with film, design and business students from Full Sail University, combining their talents, you can expect one hell of a video. More details on that to come as well.
While we're launching the shirt and commercial, you can also expect the new Purple Gorilla website. It will be the first step to a fully functional Purple Gorilla website. The PG domain will be www.purplegorilla.co so I suggest you start bookmarking!
SO, as you can see, lots of things are happening here at the Purple Gorilla ranch and I can't wait to share it with you.

TOMS - No Longer Only A Shoe Company
Blake Mycoskie is on the forefront of Social Entrepreneurship.
Blake Mycoskie is the owner and chief shoe giver (CEO) of Toms Shoes, a shoe company based out of Santa Monica. California. But it’s this company’s message that makes it so unique. For every pair of shoes purchased, Toms gives a pair to a child in need, that’s where the companies slogan comes in play; One For One.
While vacationing in Argentina, back in 2006, Blake volunteered to help a charity hand out basic amenities to the people and specifically shoes. He thought to himself that there must be an easier way to get shoes to these people. So the next day he started thinking what if you bought a pair and with that you can make a small profit and still give a pair back? Thus Toms Shoes was born.
SO over 1 million pairs of shoes later, TOMS is moving forward in a new direction... eyewear. The infographic below explains exactly how it works:
TOMS is proving once again how far social responsibility can go and encouraging other companies to do the same. Here at Purple Gorilla I am going to do the same; incorporate social responsibility.
