Gunpowder Temple.

The past couple of weeks I've been helping out the guys from Gunpowder Temple. They are a group of 5 young and dedicated musicians, looking to bring musical integrity back to an industry they feel is lacking it. They have performed at multiple venues in the Orlando area, including 57 West, The Haven Lounge, and UCF Campus. Their demo is available for free download on their web page and Facebook. They are currently recording their debut EP.

Be on the look out for these guys as they are some of the most dedicated musicians I've encountered in a very long time. More updates on them to follow soon.

Toy Soldier Art

Most of us have played with these plastic toy soldiers as kids and I'm stoked to see them pop up in art pieces. Here, Joe Black took a Robert Capa photo of a Chinese soldier as inspiration “Made In China” 

Ashtray Electric X Purple Gorilla

Andre Pienaar, the lead singer of Ashtray Electric was kind enough to tweet a photo of himself repping a Purple Gorilla Series 1 shirt in Cape Town, South Africa the other day. Happy to see the positive response for Series 1 and we're working hard on Series 2.

This young man did something most guys could only dream of and all I can say is wow. Touching 1000 girls boobs... impossible you say? Well, think again. Okay so who wants to go for 2000?

Tony Hawk Goes To India.

The birdman and his crew figured it was time to give a country a show like no other... literally. Never in the history of India, has anyone hosted a skate demo until now. Tony Hawk and the Quicksilver crew went to the city of Mumbia for a historic event attended by over 5000 people at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School Grounds.

For the past 2 weeks I've been in the city that never sleeps, seeing old friends, partying it up and not seeing any snow (as of yet). I'll be posting blog updates on my trip, cool stores to experience, best jazz bar and best food spots in the next few days.

I feel like Transworld Skateboarding have done this many times in the past but I think they want to keep this honored list updated. There will always be athletes that progress the sport of Skateboarding and for that reason, more people get the opportunity to write their names in history. Rooftop Party Anyone?

Seeing your favorite band live in an arena, club or bar is cool but seeing them live on an intimate rooftop setting? Priceless. More of these type of events need to happen around the world. Lets do it.

5 Gum recently hosted a rooftop party in the city of Johannesburg. Desmund & The Tutus were the main act and the guys from Ashtray Electric played an awesome gig while a few others joined in for the fun.

The very talented videotographer, Adriaan Louw, made an awesome video of this epic night.
